Domaining Philosophy
You’ll find other domainers who subscribe to the “buy it, park it, make money with it” ideology. Domain forums are filled with lively discussions on the merits of both philosophies. As for me and my domains? I’m a buy and develop kinda gal. Why? Probably because I am a control freak and parking domains leaves me at the mercy of type-in traffic. More practically, I believe that there is more money to be made in the long run with a developed domain and a bit of internet marketing. Besides that, it’s fun!
When I’m not tweaking one of my own sites, for fun and profit, I help others design a comprehensive online strategy. From domain name selection and hosting to development, branding and buzz-building, my aim is profitability.
After-Hours Domaining
Contrary to what my family believes, I do have a life outside of this office. I love to fly, fish, grow veggies in my garden and eat. I hold a private pilot certificate with a multi-engine and instrument rating. Saltwater lures are my Achilles’ Heal and I am easily distracted by anything that has to do with fishing. My husband puts up with me and my teenager knows I’m beyond help.
